Blending modern with old

Can a Modern Kitchen Concept Work Within an Old Structure? Yes it can! Especially if leading interior designer, Su Satchwell and custom furniture designers and manufactures – Heaven & Stubbs have had anything to do with it!

A great deal of combined design expertise and thought went into this stained oak, flat (un – panelled) door – kitchen commission. The cabinetry’s sturdy and substantial look and its heavily grained patina – highlighted with brass detailing, such as the delightfully simplistic handle design, somehow manages to look perfectly at home in this centuries old manor house.

The white and black pattern of the granite work-tops, cleverly ties the furniture in with the rooms black stained – herringbone floor and the rooms walls and ceiling.

A lack of wall cabinetry stops the kitchen space from looking to dark and closed in. Instead, the walls have been treated to wide-span, floating shelves, dressed with plants, pictures and ornaments.
