Sometimes designing a very large kitchen can be every bit as tricky as making a small space work and – just as with the small space, ‘off the shelf’ solutions with standard cabinet sizes and shapes, simply can’t work, with long, plain runs of furniture creating a lack of visual interest

Although big enough or two islands, both are designed in such away to be visually interesting as well as pefroming very different functions.

The one island features a radius end complete with end grain oak chopping block with integrated knife drawer – whilst at the opposite end, an oak – home-work station. In between, plenty of cupboard storage and useful worktop area.

The adjacent island features individual drawers, for each of the family’s children, a useful butlers sink and two integrated seating arrangements, affording the family and their friends lovely views of the landscaped gardens; This is a serious socialising kitchen space!

The furniture features a recessed, 30 degree frame detail allowing the doors to be set back slightly and the furnitures exciting custom – mauve paint shade provides a vibrant contrast to the commissions light toned furniture as well as the natural oak, accent details. These include the clever, integrated bench seating, breakfast bar and the slide out chopping boards.
